Timeframes build candles

Merge smaller candles into one larger one. · 5 min

Charts in this lesson are generated. They are not real market data and predict nothing.

A 5-minute candle is five 1-minute candles merged; a daily candle is every minute of the session. The simulator builds every timeframe from the same 1-minute bars, so they always agree.

A pattern on one timeframe can vanish on another. Three red candles and a green one can merge into a single hammer, or into a plain down candle. Always say which timeframe you are reading.

Three 1-minute candles: (O 10.0 H 10.4 L 9.9 C 10.3), (O 10.3 H 10.8 L 10.2 C 10.6), (O 10.6 H 10.7 L 10.1 C 10.2). What is the 3-minute candle?
